Energy Efficiency:
Finding New Savings and Business Opportunities
Date of Program: Tuesday, April 10
(Our apologies for the recent email with an incorrect date.)

With a Connecticut state statute requiring the adoption of the 2012 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) as early as 2013, public and private commercial building owners need to prepare to meet requirements that call for 26 percent more energy efficiency than the current 2009 code.  This will represent a great challenge for owners, building officials, and the design and construction community.

Learn from public and private owners and  seasoned energy code and financial professionals about the challenges that lie ahead and their plans to meet these higher levels of efficiency standards, and funding mechanisms to finance the improvements.

Public Building Owner & Building Inspector: Joseph Cassidy, P.E., Acting Connecticut State Building Inspector

Private Owner: Kerry Kerr, Director of Engineering & Facilities, Hartford Hospital

Energy Code Consultant: Frederick F. Wajcs, P.E., Consultant

Project Management and Funding Consultant:  Steven Chandler Hall, Chandler LLC

Moderator: Richard Jacques, AIA, Principal, Jacques Management LLC
