Prefab and Modular -A Growth Trend and Path to Increased Strength
Join your CBC colleagues at the third virtual meeting in CBC's Webinar Series as we tackle hot topics within the AEC Industry.
Much of construction has evolved at a glacial pace. Offsite construction is part of a solution set that will energize construction by significantly increasing productivity and decreasing the time it takes to turn over a building.
This webinar will explore and explain the potential of offsite construction in the New England market and how various stakeholders can play a role. Offsite construction offers the promise of productivity boosts of five to ten times. Project schedules can be cut in half with up to 70% fewer people and deliveries required to a site. We will provide real world examples of trade contractor fab shops through tech heavy modular factories. Owners, architects, engineers and contractors will be exposed to the concept of Design for Manufacturing & Assembly, a mindset shift that marries the process of design with the process of production.
