The Diversity Trifecta – Policy, Strategy, and Best Practices on November 12

HAMDEN, CT – On Tuesday, November 12th, The Connecticut Building Congress will hold its November program at The Cascade in Hamden to discuss the Diversity Trifecta.

An expert speaker panel will discuss the Policy, Strategy and Best Practices related to Diversity today. The panel includes:

Donald J. DeFronzo, Commissioner, CT Dept. of Administrative Services
Richard H. Strauss, Executive Director, CT Academy of Science and Engineering
Alissa DeJonge, VP of Research, CT Academy of Science and Engineering
Maggie Snape, Director of Human Resources, Fuss & O’Neill, Inc.
Elizabeth Velez, President, Velez Organization

Policy: Hear about recent policy changes and challenges and learn about the results of the 2013 Disparity Study Report on Connecticut’s progress toward achieving its goals and recommendations going forward.

Strategy: Learn what industry leaders are doing currently to tap the future workforce, which will come in large part from women, minorities, and young rising professionals.

Best Practices: Hear from a respected, successful minority business owner about the business advantages of good diversity practices, both as an employer seeking a diverse workforce and as a diverse business entity.
